Poems

One hundred fifty-nine poems
That's how many
Before I forgot to write one
So yesterday
Has a hole I can never fill
And it's easy
Oh so incredibly easy
To focus on
That one
Void
Despite
Overwhelming
Success on every day prior
It's so easy
To focus on where we have failed
It's too easy
To let that shadow block the light
To drown in dark
To halt and frown and just lay down
Just one failure
Can act as such potent poison
But to do so
It needs your help and attention
So I can stare
At the gap that is my mistake
Or I can look
At one hundred fifty-nine wins
And it's my choice
What the me of tomorrow sees
When looking back
So I would like to welcome you
To this poem
Win number one hundred sixty
